Unique kitchen and home products reminds us that entertainment in our home is a sweet blessing. We get to enjoy our home and our guests in our setting. When I see some of the products in this site it makes me nostalgic. My days as a child in the 60’s witness cocktail parties and Mom’s hosting of the neighbors. Neighborhood parties are very common and yet they are very special events. I like seeing how our neighbors are dressed up and arriving with their contribution to the fun event.
Mom is immaculate and as the saying says, she is ‘dressed to the nines’. I love sitting on the bathroom counter and watching her get ready and change her pale blond eyebrows into ones we can see. Mascara is a brush you wet and wipe onto a brown paste. She is grumbling as usual saying there must be a better way! These are wonderful memories along with the mental photos I see of the house all ready and dressed up for the event. And the invention of ‘panty hose’. What a ‘hoot’ watching Mom getting into these new things!
Literally the silverware is polished, a beautiful table is set with linens and a wonderful salt and pepper set. Mom spices it this all up with Fun cloth napkins; of course, who wants to get them soiled? This is all part of the excitement and anticipation of the evening coming up. Even the tea wagon has a lemon polish on it. The house smells festive and ready. This is exciting for me as well, especially seeing our neighbors dressed up, and the ladies smelling of their wonderful perfumes.

How many times while we shop online do we see ‘Textiles’ listed as a category. This is the trigger for me to raise up some long past memories. I’m looking for a linen table cloth and now I can find one. The real fun and surprise is the unique kitchen and home products available. One of my favorites is the ‘Lady Bug Table Top Vacuum Cleaner’.
This site has real quality items, not so much in volume but in uniqueness too. I rediscover my love for aprons when I visit. I start wearing them just a few years ago after one of my really good sweaters gets hit with bacon fat. The Avocado Peeler and Slicer is on my wish list for my next visit, as well as the Hands Free Stainless Steel Soap Dispenser. If I go back in time with my family, I would definitely have the Touchless Wall Mounted Automatic Soap Dispenser too. I plan on having our granddaughter go through the site and pick out some of her ‘wish list’ items. I want her to enjoy the anticipation of guests arriving this coming summer. Looking Back Again
My husband and I are the Baby Boomer generation, and we wish our grandchildren can experience this time of freedom. We rode our bikes all over town with a freedom children no longer have. Summers are summed up in one sentence when we boomers get together, and that’s the phrase we all loved to hear, “come back home when it starts to get dark out”!
We are all talented when it comes to riding bikes, roller skating and swimming. Now this is in Southern California, so O.K., as kids we assume the whole world can swim. Some of us are exceptional in our talents, and my specialty is riding a unicycle. It’s a Christmas gift I request. This is fun getting so much attention, or walking around with gopher snakes wrapping around our necks. Please check out this site, and make your home the attention getter it deserves.
We can’t go back in time but we can return to hosting Neighborhood Parties and enjoying our Unique Kitchen and Home Products. In fact, one of my New Year’s Resolutions is to have more people over and get to know our neighbors as well. We jump start having friends over when we finish our Gazebo in late August. Our summer outdoor hosting now has a lovely shaded area for our goodies and cocktails. We have a few good weeks and then our Wyoming cold weather hits, I’m digressing when I start to talk about the weather! You can check our Gazebo here:
